Pie/Pi

I have to write part of a paper about the history of pi. It's a "learning team" assignment, and all I've learned is how lazy people can be. Truthfully, the actual history is fascinating, and I might even be enjoying the assignment if I had better teammates. Did you know there's a reference to pi in the Bible? I thought that was amazing enough, but the Bible is like 2000 years AFTER the Babylonians and Egyptians figured out some very close calculations. It's really kind of cool that something these people came up with 4000 years ago is still such a source of wonderment. Mathmeticians are STILL trying to figure it out. I would give up after the first trillion numbers myself. I need some cherry pie to make up for all this now.
